Dr. Tiffany Ray, a native of Hampton, Virginia, currently serves as the Vice President of Student Services and Equity Advancement and the Chief Diversity Officer at Germanna Community College, a position she has held since 2018. Previously, she served as the Interim Dean of Enrollment Management at Virginia Peninsula Community College (formerly Thomas Nelson Community College). Prior to Virginia Peninsula Community College, she held various positions at Old Dominion University, The College of William and Mary, and Virginia Tech. Dr. Ray is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where she majored in Business Administration. She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Higher Education, also from Old Dominion University. Dr. Ray serves on the Old Dominion University Strome College of Business Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, the University of Mary Washington Center for Community Engagement Community Advisory Committee, and the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council for the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region. She is a board member for Rappahannock United Way, Didlake, Inc., and HERDI Innovate. She also volunteers with the Community Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy Program. She serves on the African American History Committee for the Fredericksburg Area Museum. She was selected by Old Dominion University’s Alumni Association as part of their inaugural “40 under 40” class. She is currently an Aspen Institute College Excellence Program Rising Presidents Fellow.
