Our Spring 2026 HERDI Meeting in Seattle was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when community college leadership and industry partners come together with intention.
The meeting booklet we shared reinforced our HERDI values, mission, and commitment to fostering honest, outcome‑driven dialogue between college presidents and the business community. Our events are not transactional convenings, but relationship‑centered forums focused on real solutions designed to meet real challenges.
What stood out most to me in Seattle was how focused our client partners were on student success, institutional effectiveness, and long‑term impact. And how our experienced advisory board members shared their perspectives, as presidents and chancellors of institutions of every size and region, on the solutions and services presented to them.

During the dinner banquet, we celebrated six retiring Presidents and thanked them for their years of service in support of student success. And we welcomed sponsors BibliU, Edvisorly, Huron, Instructure, Liaison, and WeVideo.
A final thought – in a crowded higher ed conference landscape, HERDI continues to be unique because we do one thing exceptionally well: we create space for trust, candor, and meaningful collaboration between companies and community college leadership. The Seattle meeting was a clear example of our HERDI philosophy in action! We look forward to seeing you all this fall in Chicago.
