Elliott Strickland serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at
Florida State College at Jacksonville. With almost 30 years of experience in higher education,
he focuses on fostering a student-centered and student-driven environment that supports
engagement, belonging, and success. Before joining FSCJ in January 2024, Elliott held multiple
leadership roles at Pennsylvania College of Technology, including Vice President for Student
Affairs for 12 years. He also serves as a Partner in College Education Success (CES) Consulting,
which specializes in supporting colleges and universities through program assessment and
development in student affairs, enrollment management, student success, and intercollegiate
athletics. A passionate supporter of professional service, he currently serves on the American
Association of Community College’s (AACC) Commission on Student Success, on the Florida
College System’s Council for Student Affairs, as a Board Member for the Higher Education
Research and Development Institute (HERDI), and in various roles within the National
Association for Student Affairs Professionals (NASPA). Elliott holds a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration & Management from the University of South Carolina-Aiken, a Master
of Education in Student Personnel Services & Higher Education Administration from the
University of South Carolina-Columbia, and is completing his Doctorate in Higher Education
Leadership at Gwynedd Mercy University.
