County College of Morris

Dr. Anthony J. Iacono became the third president of County College of Morris in September
2016. He is committed to the mission of community colleges, which he sees as economic and
social mobility engines, because of their ability to change lives and strengthen communities. Dr.
Iacono is convinced that the keys to success are rooted in faith, life-long learning, strong
community partnerships, and understanding the responsibility of caring for others. CCM’s
growth can be attributed to many factors, including the support of the community.
Dr. Iacono is a recent past chair of the New Jersey President’s Council (NJPC) where he remains
on the Executive Board. NJPC represents all two-and-four-year public and private colleges and
universities in the state. He is also a recent past chair of the NJ Council of County Colleges, is a
current member of the NJ Humanities Council, a member of NJBIA, a member of Morristown
Medical Center’s Community Health Committee, and serves on numerous other county-wide
committees. Most importantly, he is the current Chair of the Morris County Chamber of
Commerce. An organization he believes is instrumental to the vibrancy of our county and state.
He has been recognized in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, by NJBiz as one of its Power 50
Educators. For the past six consecutive years, he has been included on NJ-ROI’s Influencers in
Higher Education list. Iacono was also included in New Jersey’s Power 50 Manufacturing
Leaders by NJBIZ, 2019. He has received numerous recognitions from the U.S. House of
Representatives, the N.J. Legislature, and from numerous community organizations in Morris
County including Morris County Organization of Hispanic Affairs, Table of Hope, the Boy Scouts,
and the Greater Morris County Chapter of the National Football Foundation (NFL).
Dr. Iacono received his Ph.D. in American History from Mississippi State University, his M.A. and
B.A. in American History from the University of Central Florida, and his Associate in Arts degree
from Indian River Community College. He is proud to be a Morris County resident and honored
to lead N.J.’s best college.
