Dr. Pfeiffer has been with Wayne Community College (WCC) for over 28 years and was named President on January 1, 2022. Prior to being named President, she has served as a nursing faculty member, Nursing Department Chair, Dean of Allied Health and Public Services, Chief of Staff and Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness, Vice President of Academic and Student Services, and Interim President. Before joining the college, Dr. Pfeiffer worked as a registered nurse and prior to that she served six years in the United States Army as a parachute rigger and airborne paratrooper. Dr. Pfeiffer holds a doctorate in higher education and adult learning (EdD) from Walden University, a master’s in administration (MSA) from Central Michigan University, a master’s in nursing education (MSN) from East Carolina University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from East Carolina University, and an associate degree in nursing (ADN) from Wayne Community College. Patty is married to Tim, and they have two adult daughters, two grandchildren, and one son-in-law.
