Stacey Moore currently serves as President of York Technical College. Passionate about the comprehensive mission of community and technical colleges, Stacey has a particular love for York Tech and the mission-centered personnel at the College. She believes community colleges provide the nation’s best opportunity to advance educational access, equity and affordability for the economic vitality of our communities. To this end, Stacey also works closely with community partners in the service area to grow educational partnerships, advance economic development and build innovative solutions to address workforce needs. She serves on the boards for the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Council of Governments, the Catawba Workforce Development Board, the I-77 Alliance, the Olde English Consortium and the United Way of York County as well as various external committees dedicated to workforce development, government relations and equity. Dr. Moore is a 2021 graduate of Leadership SC, was selected as Administrator of the Year for York Tech in 2018 and 2020 and received the Education Advisory Board’s Visionary Leader of the Year award in 2020. Stacey holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of Akron and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Eckerd College. She lives in Rock Hill, SC with her husband Scott, beautiful daughters, Caitlin and Maggie, and cats, Ross, Figment and Enzo. Scott is a teacher in the Fort Mill school district, Caitlin is a graduate student in Clinical Neuroscience and Maggie, a recent graduate of York Tech’s accelerated Associate of Arts program, is in New York City studying performing arts and ancient history. Stacey’s hobbies include playing the bagpipes, listening to various podcasts, trying out new recipes, reading and binge watching television shows with her family.
