Dr. Brian R. Mitra is a dedicated student affairs professional who is currently the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Queensborough Community College. Brian’s responsibilities include oversight and management of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. He serves on the college’s senior administration, serves as Department Chair, and sits on several college wide committees including the Behavioral Intervention Team and Equity Initiatives. Service is important to Dr. Mitra, he has held several board positions for NAPSA and NASPA Region II. In addition, Dr. Mitra sits on the Board of Directors for Opportunity for a Better Tomorrow, which exists to break the cycle of poverty and equity through education, job training, and employment. Lastly, Dr. Mitra is an External Contributor, Subject Matter Expert with the JED Foundation which protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults.​
