Kari Brown-Herbst has held a variety of roles at Laramie County Community College since 2009, currently serving as Senior Vice President, Academic Affairs. As the chief academic officer Kari provides executive oversight to new program development, ensuring alignment between the College and the region it serves. She provides guidance for the College’s academic support services including the Ludden Library and Learning Commons and the Center for Excellence in Teaching. Her work as a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission helps her position her actions at LCCC with consideration for current trends and proven successes in higher education. Dr. Brown-Herbst has an earned doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Technology from the University of Wyoming, a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology from Marian College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Kalamazoo College. Kari enjoys the outdoors especially cycling and gardening. She and her husband Glenn have three sons and eight grandchildren, all of whom bring her immense pride.
