Parting Words from HERDI Executive Secretary
After eleven years as Executive Secretary for HERDI and 25 years with its predecessor company, ERDI, David Amsler is saying goodby to his role at HERDI. He will continue in an ex-officio capacity so that HERDI CEO, Dr. Toni Cleveland, can “pick his brain” when needed. David and his wife, Susan, attended the HERDI reception and banquet with the Advisory Board of community college presidents and client company personnel in Dallas where he had these parting words regarding his experience with HERDI.
“HERDI is a unique organization which brings the best and the brightest community college presidents from across the nation together with corporate leaders. In the process of collaboration in face-to-face panels as well as informal social interaction, the presidents encounter a powerful and profound professional development experience. When they are invited to join HERDI they come as colleagues and soon become lasting friends. The presidents represent a vast reservoir of experience and accomplishment.
As I retire from the role of executive secretary of HERDI since its formation in 2000, I
remain impressed with the talent and the commitment of both the community college presidents and our corporate partners as they collaborate to enhance the products and services present in community colleges. HERDI is a highly effective means to that end.”
