HERDI Advisory Board Member Gnage Named Chair of AACC Board
West Virginia University at Parkersburg President Marie Foster Gnage was appointed chair of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Her term of the non-profit organization’s 32-member board began July 1 and is a one year term.
Ninety percent of all accredited, public, two-year colleges in the U.S. are members of AACC. The association serves its members in many ways, including government outreach and advocacy, student success initiatives, leadership, professional development and more.
Former AACC chair, Dr. John “Ski” Sygielski, is currently a HERDI Advisory Board member and the current President and CEO of AACC, Dr. Walter Bumphus, was a former HERDI Advisory Board member.
HERDI congratulates Dr. Gnage for this important appointment.
